Tui Na is a Chinese body therapy dating back to 1700BC. It is based on the theory that Qi (energy) flows in channels or meridians throughout the body. This technique stimulates the channels and specific acupoints to allow Qi and blood to flow freely and to bring the body back into homeostasis. This dynamic technique is excellent for both muscular and joint problems as well as internal diseases ranging from digestive disorders to women’s health issues to cancer, and post surgery. Techniques range from light to deep pressure, kneading, stretching, and moving joints. Clothes are kept on for this treatment.
